Gentleman Chris Evans helps Oscar winner Regina King avoid a wardrobe mishap as she takes to the stage to accept her Best Actress award, 02/24/2019.
King was announced as the winner for her role in the movie “If Beale Street Could Talk” and after hugging her mother Gloria she stood to make her way to the stage. But her stunning white gown somehow got tangled, and she almost had an accident – until Evans, who was sitting next to Gloria jumped up and offered King his arm as she straightened out her dress.
He then supported the star and helped her navigate the stairs onto the stage, with King turning and giving him a grateful smile. Once on the stage, King gave a tearful acceptance speech.
