Marta Katarzyna Wiktoria Wiśniewska, known as Mandaryna, was born March 12, 1978, in Łódź, Poland. She’s a Polish singer, dancer, and actress who first got noticed as a dancer for the pop group Ich Troje and as the partner of its leader, Michał Wiśniewski. She kicked off her singing career in 2004 with a cover of Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again,” which blew up in Poland.

Her debut album, Mandaryna.com , and follow-up, Mandarynkowy sen , both did solid numbers. Things got wild in 2005 when her Sopot Festival performance stirred up drama over her vocal skills, but her song “Ev’ry Night” still became a huge hit, arguably her biggest banger yet. Most of her music, including that track, was crafted by her go-to producers Harald Reitinger and Uli Fischer, who’ve shaped about 90% of her career.
