Karen Gillan, born November 28, 1987, in Inverness, Scotland, is a Scottish actress and filmmaker. She became known as Amy Pond in Doctor Who and later gained global fame as Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films. Gillan has also starred in the Jumanji reboot series and directed the indie film The Party’s Just Beginning. She studied acting at the Italia Conti Academy in London.
