Tavi Gevinson, born April 21, 1996 in Chicago, is an American writer, actress, and ex-fashion blogger. She blew up as a preteen with her blog Style Rookie, then launched Rookie Magazine in 2011 – a massive online hub for teen girls that ran until 2018. After that she jumped into acting with roles in Enough Said , Broadway shows, and the 2021 Gossip Girl reboot. She’s also a sharp essayist who writes for big outlets like The Cut and Harper’s.
